UNAU Secretariat meets Nkumba Chapter

It was an interactive, informative afternoon at Nkumba University on Tuesday 20/04/2011 when the UNAU secretariat honored Nkumba University’s UNAU chapter invitation to one of their meetings.

 

The UNAU secretariat team led by the General Secretary was warmly welcomed by the president Nkumba chapter Mr. Indani Geoffrey who led the team to meet the rest of the chapter members at the organized meeting venue.

The General Secretary expressed his appreciation to the outgoing chapter members for the outstanding work done during their term of office. He also congratulated the new UNAU chapter leaders and encouraged them to engage more in UNAU activities so as to challenge the team they succeeded. He enlightened the incoming members about UNAU’s goals and objectives making it clear that UNAU is a voluntary and separate organization from the UN except for the special friendly relation they hold.

Nkumba chapter members were given the opportunity to ask questions about the organization which were answered to their satisfaction by the General Secretary.

Handing over of the organization’s constitution (UNAU) and some reading material to the chairperson Nkumba chapter marked the end of the splendid evening at the campus.
