Nakasero senior secondary school UN club

On Saturday 25th June 2011 Nakasero Senior Secondary school had the UN Club handover ceremony at their school. The function started at 3pm with the National anthem, some entertainment and speeches.

The Patron of UNAU Club Nakasero Senior Secondary School Mrs. Tugume Morious welcomed the team from the secretariat and thanked them for honoring the Club’s invitation.  She expressed her gratitude towards UN Club of Nakasero S.S.S and thanked the Secretariat for all the support rendered. She encouraged her students to take up the opportunities of acquiring great training, political, and entrepreneurship skills that the organization offers to the students.

Baguma Richard the General Secretary UNAU educated the new club members about the organization’s origin such as; when it was formed, the founders, the goals and objectives and much more related to the way UNAU performs its duties. He encouraged the new club members to learn from the example set by the outgoing committee members and challenged them to perform better and to take their education seriously so as to meet the expectations of their parents and teachers who have invested in them.  He also extended his invitation to the Patron to visit the UNAU secretariat to the patron and the new club executive members

The headmaster Nakasero S.S.S Mr. Othieno appreciated UNAU’s good work in shaping students for the future. He encouraged the students to perform to their expectation. ”Prove yourself worthy first, they are watching you”.

A cake was cut to symbolize the ushering the ushering in of the new UN club leadership. The photo session was an interesting one as students posed for the cameras with their patron, the headmaster and the General Secretary UNAU.

The General Secretary then opened a dance session that crowned the day.
