UNAU Patrons and branch leaders Social gathering

The secretariat was honored to host the different chapter leaders with their patrons on Saturday 21/05/2011. The get together was aimed at strengthening the bond between UNAU and its chapters.

Mr. George Muwanguzi the president of UNAU was the guest of honor, he informed the members of the organization’s roots (1997) and introduced the founder members who were present except for late Mr. kiyapi Paul. The other founders included; Nshemerereirwe Peruth, Katusiime Allan and Mr.Baguma T Richard the General secretary UNAU.

George thanked the chapter leaders for keeping UNAU alive in their different chapters and encouraged them not to give up.

 

Mr. Baguma welcomed and thanked the patrons and the student leaders for attending and for the great efforts they have continuously displayed in ensuring that UNAU projects get fulfilled, he also encouraged branch leaders and their patrons to yield business plans and discuss them with the secretariat so that they get the necessary support needed to attain the set targets. Lastly, he urged the chapter leaders to encourage the members to engage in UMUN 2011 so that they get en-lightened and experienced on how the UNAU works.

Members enjoyed the afternoon as they interacted with the different chapter members and patrons, danced, had snacks and the best of all was the fun box where they were asked questions concerning the origin of the organization.

At around 5.30 pm the dust had to settle as the members went back to their respective branches.
