New leadership at MUBS
The handover ceremony at MUBS was on 7th May 2011 and started at around 6pm in the evening. The first event was conducted by the outgoing president of the chapter who kindly requested them to kindly move to a designated place on the compound where a tree commemorating the function was planted.
The chapter members were smartly dressed for the function representing countries assigned to them. All dressed in the same dressing codes as the countries they delegated, the chapter members were ushered to well arranged seats. Daniel thanked his outgoing cabinet for the hard work and commitments shown in pursuing the UN dreams. He concluded his speech by wishing the new members a good term of office.
At the function many events to place, among these included; Swallowing fire flames, seating and lying on nails with bear skin, these astonishing activities left most of the UNAU members tantalized hence making the function more interesting.
Nayesiga Catherine and Agaba Ronald represented the General Secretary ceremony and were witnesses while the new members were being sworn into office, a cake was cut symbolizing change in leadership at the MUBS chapter.
The patron Mr. Matama congratulated the outgoing members and encouraged the new members to keep the candle burning in the MUBS chapter. He advised his students to read hard since it was near examination time at the campus.
The ceremony signed off with a dance between the patrons and chapter members.
